Inn Express- 7101 Concourse Parkway, Douglasville, GA 30134. From Atlanta
I-20 West; exit #35 –right on Hwy 5. At 1st light turn right hotel
is on the left. *NOTE – The Host hotel giving the group discounted rate is approx.
15 to 20 minutes from the tournament venue to give people more restaurant
and shopping opportunities and because the hotel is located 5 minutes
from the dojo hosting the seminars. There will be a shuttle available
the morning of the tournament to transport athletes to and from the tournament
venue. Call 770-947-5212 to reserve space and for a shuttle schedule.
Dates/Times: Spectators – You can pre-purchase spectator tickets at the athlete check-in at hotel on Friday 4/18 or at the event on 4/19 - Adults (12 years & up) $5.00; Children (5 to 11) $3.00 Kumite Seminar: Sunday April 20th at Champion Karate and Fitness Douglasville. 2145B West County Line Rd.; Douglasville, GA 30135; 770-947-5212 Log onto www.champscup.com for a detailed schedule and registration information. Referee Seminar: A referee certification course taught by Sensei Cedric Barksdale WKF Referee and USANKF Referee Council member. Course is on Friday April 18th at 6pm at the Holiday Inn Express in Douglasville. Call 770-947-5212 to register. NOTE- A competitor may compete in multiple age divisions as long as they are competing up in age (down in age for ages 35+) or up in experience level. -WKF/USA-NKF modified rules for all divisions (www.usankf.org); Mandatory Equipment: All competitors must wear: mouth guard, USANKF or AAU approved hand pads,(we will have loaners available for anyone who does not have them), cups (males). All youth (18 & under) must wear headgear. White gi only with 1 dojo or Country Patch. Optional: WKF style shin guards, approved chest protectors under uniform. *Volunteers are needed as referees, timekeepers, scorekeepers, staging assistants, etc. Please call Samantha Hostettler at 770-947-5212 to volunteer.
